Human identity is not single dimensional. Recognizing my pashtoon idenity won’t make me any less Pakistani just as negating my pashtoon ethnicity won’t make me a better Pakistani. I am a pashtoon as well as a Pakistani and I am proud of both while being careful not to let my nationality or my ethnicity blind me to the negative traits of my people (pakistanis as well as pashtoons).
