I came across some verses from a translated poem of Hazra Rabia Basri yesterday. Two lines really left a mark.
“May God steal from you
What steals you from him”
It served as a good inspiration for my humble attempt.

@Petrea: Thanks for your thoughts. I am glad you too were impressed by the two lines of Hazrat Rabia Basri. She was a muslim Sufi saint from Basra Iraq, and she wrote the lines around 1400 years ago (if i can
recall correctly).
In case you are curious to know what language I wrote in, it is called Urdu and is the national language of my country Pakistan.
Is it a faux-pas to ask for a translation, as no-one has yet?
Any poem sparked into creation by a mind that realizes the power of those two lines is, most likely, worth reading.
This is me asking for an English translation.

In fact it is kind of you to show this much of interest in the poem.
I am not good at English poetry and translations but let me see if i may be able to produce something either myself or through some friend…

I would love to get it translated, but I am finding it hard to translate it without destroying the beauty of it.
I would ask a friend if she could help although everyone is too busy these days..

wow!!!!! This is some very impressive stuff. My grandmother, may Allah bless her, she used to tell about the Hazrat Rabia Basri Anah. She really admired her. So i have some knowledge about her from my gradmother
